I have been sending my children here to learn Krav Maga, both as a sport and self defense. They have been getting so much more – the instructors are amazing. I started going to the adult classes myself, and am amazed by how challenging it is to learn, and how great Juan is at teaching. Juan is a gifted instructor – he is a master in Krav Maga (as well as several other martial arts) and can break down the moves so each student understands (he has students with a huge variety of backgrounds and prior skills). He is demanding, which comes from his respect to the art and his responsibility to teach his students correctly.
Great place to learn the art of Krav Maga. Sensei Juan is awesome – cares a lot about his students, makes sure you know the techniques, and trains you hard to make sure you can “get out” of any bad situation. The students there are all very respectful and always willing to help a peer succeed. Traci runs a lot of the business operations, she is fantastic to work with – always willing to accommodate a student. If you want to learn and have a true desire to excel in this art, this is the only school to visit. Hope to return soon.

My daughter has been training here for 3 years with amazing results. Juan is very encouraging and passionate about his school and he invests all his energy in each student. He believes in them. He can be tough, but he needs to be to teach the art of self defense.
Sir Juan is an extremely knowledgeable and patient instructor. His passion for the martial art is clearly expressed through his hyper-focused attention to detail and his ability to inspire his students. If you are looking for a school that will award you a belt after you have paid the “appropriate” amount then do not go to Englewood Krav Maga. If, however, you are looking to earn your belt through hard work, discipline and by deftly demonstrating that you are ready to move to the next level then look no further.
